Beuchat Rocksea 5mm Mens Open Cell Wet Suit

Beuchat Rocksea 5mm Mens Open Cell Wet Suit

The Beuchat Rocksea Freedive Suit is a high-performance wetsuit designed for freediving, spearfishing, and other water sports. Some of the key benefits of this suit include:

Warmth: The suit is made of high-quality neoprene, which provides excellent insulation in cold water.

Flexibility: The suit is designed to be very flexible, allowing for a full range of motion while diving.

Durability: The neoprene used in the suit is resistant to wear and tear, making it a long-lasting investment.  Plus it's the only suit on the market to give a 4 year warranty on the stitching!

Comfort: The suit is designed to fit snugly, but not too tightly, ensuring maximum comfort while diving.  With contour and increased panels, this suit is by far our most comfortable suit.

Style: The suit has a sleek, modern design that looks great both in and out of the water.

50 years after inventing the isothermal spear fishing suit, Beuchat breaks new ground in camouflaged spearfishing suits by being the first to create a camouflage comprised of actual photographs assembled in 3D using trigonometric calculation software.

Trigocamo: innovative and exclusive three dimensional camouflage gear

Open Cell Wetsuit Care
All Open Cell wetsuits require the inside of the suit to be lubricated with water before putting on.  If you do not, the suit will pull on your body hair and skin.

Be careful of finger nails on the soft inside of the suit.

Small cuts made from finger nails are best repaired using Aquaseal FD.

As suits get more stretchy and even more comfortable, they become slightly more prone to damage.  To help avoid this Do Not use soapy water to lubricate your suit as this can cause excessive stretch on the suit if you move around in the suit too much. As an example, if sitting down on the boat the outer suit will stay still on the boat, but you may move inside with any motion of the boat causing stress on the suit.

Beuchat Rocksea 5mm wetsuit

I am now 76 and have been spearfishing and freediving since I was 16. I have used many different bits of Beuchat equipment over the years but I have never bought a Beuchat suit until this year because I always bought cheaper suits.
I was doubtful about the claim that no soap was needed to get the open cell suit on and off. My first dive using the suit this week proved me wrong. It was so easy to get the suit on and off. At my age that has been a problem when cold and tired after a long dive with my last suit. In the water the suit felt really comfortable and warm. The extra flexibility over my cheaper suits was noticeable.
The quality of the seams and stitching was all excellent so all round it seems that the small extra expense was worth it.
The only negative point I found was when I went to put my diving knife in my leg sheath. Beuchat had not fitted one! I will sew on one myself but this surely should be part of a freediving suit?
I hope that this suit lasts until I am 80 and then I will buy my second Beuchat wetsuit!
