Shearwater Yellow Transmitter
Are you looking to run 2 transmitters and don't want them to interfere with each other?
Well you need to choose a standard grey and a yellow transmitter from Shearwater and then you will be able to read both cylinders without any issues. This is perfect if you are side mount diving, or diving back mount and carrying a pony/stage bottle.
Shearwater Transmitters, used in conjunction with a compatible wrist computer, allow you to monitor current pressure and gas time remaining.
Even though this is the same transmitter made in the Aqualung owned Pelagic factory, only Shearwater produce the Yellow transmitter. It comes with a case and back up O rings.
Once paired with the computer using the transmitter unique serial number, the transmitter is permanently paired and will not accidentally pair with other computers.
The Yellow casing indicates that it sends the radio signal at a different timing than the standard black casing. This means it is the perfect buddy for a black transmitter and will not interfere with the signal causing communication loss when running 2 transmitters
Unlike the transmitters produced by many other manufacturers, the battery is a CR2 and is user changeable and commercially available.
This tank pressure wireless transmitter (OEM by Pelagic Pressure Systems = FCC ID MH8A), is compatible only with those specific models of Shearwater Research, Aqualung Hollis, Oceanic, and Aeris brand dive computers that support hoseless air integration.
The transmitter is rated for depth up to 150 m.
Uses a user replaceable, widely available, CR2 photo battery.
Some divers prefer to use a short 6-inch HP hose to reduce the risk of the transmitter being mistaken as a handle to lift with. Do not forget to order the required HP Swivel Pin.
The High Pressure o-ring located at the base of the transmitter is Size AS568-012, Viton™ material while the battery cap o-ring used is Size AS568-016, Nitrile (Buna-N) A70
