It happens; people accidentally drop things into the sea or on a dive.

If you’ve ever lost something in the water and wanted to go find it, then the PADI Search and Recovery Diver Specialty course is for you. You will learn effective ways to search for objects underwater that increase your chances of success.

You will have a chance to use differnent methods to bring up small, large or just awkward items from the seabed.

The Search and Recovery course can be challenging, but it is definetely a lot of fun.

PADI (Junior) Advanced Open Water Divers who are at least 12 years old can enroll in the Search and Recover Diver course. PADI (Junior) Open Water Divers with a PADI Underwater Navigator certification also qualify.

 

Cost: $399 | 1/2 day Theory | 4 Open Water Shore Dives over 2 days

Cost includes all PADI training, certification and study materials. Any specialist equipment will be provided for the duration of the course.  

A minimum of 2 students are required for this course to run

Search and Recovery Course

I had heaps of fun doing the search and recovery course. It's amazing how difficult it is to find small things underwater. On the course we learnt a bunch of different search patterns and had plenty of practice finding objects in a 'real world' scenario underwater. The vis was pretty bad so there was no cheating to be had :) Highly recommend this course for anyone looking for more dive training.
